Snow to the horizon, 14,000-foot peaks on every side, and a machine underneath you that goes exactly as fast as you're ready for. Kids ride the San Luis Valley with experienced guides who start slow, teach the controls, and build them up trail by trail. For a lot of Texas kids this is the first real snow they've ever stood in — and they will not stop talking about it. Helmets and cold-weather gear are provided, groups stay together on marked trails, and lodging, travel and chaperone plans go to parents well in advance.
